Hikari wasn't nervous when taking tests. She found there was no reason to be since it just screws with your mind and makes people make more mistakes. So here she was, about to take an exam to get into the International Wizard University. She decided it would be a good idea to go here as they offered more knowledge about many different things.
What she had planned on doing here was studying to become and Auror. She knew very well the dangers of such a job, but she had amazing abilities in fighting and healing because of what she was. And what she was, and has been ever since she was born, is a dhampir or half vampire. Dhampirs have been know to be good vampire hunters, though they were extremely rare. She figured that the best way to put her skills to use was becoming and Auror, and if she didn't make it, she had an interest in Divinations and Potions.
Hikari heard her name called to take the Exam. She felt prepared enough and so calmly lifted herself from her seat and entered the room quietly. She took a seat in front of a desk with a quill and parchment placed on top. They had probably been magicked to prevent cheating. However, Hikari was honorable and wouldn't cheat here anyway. There was also a set of instructions on the desk with the parchment and quill. She quickly read them over and thought silently about what to write.
The first question sounded easy enough, it was: Why do you wish to study your chosen subject?
Hikari thought for a moment, thinking of what went through her head before. She wasn't ashamed of being a dhampir so that will be included in her answer. The school would need to know if they didn't anyway. After finishing her thoughts Hikari pressed the quill to the blank parchment, beginning her answer.
My chosen subject of study is Auror Training. Auror Training is what I wish to study because I believe I have special abilities suited for this field. Being a dhampir allows me to have a wide range of abilities including healing and a type of night vision. Dhampirs are also known to be successful vampire hunters and hunters in many other fields. After much thought, I believe that these abilities coupled with what I have learned over the years from reading, studying, and schooling at Hogwarts will work to my advantage in becoming a successful Auror in the future.
Hikari was very pleased with her answer. She found it short for her writing, but it was accurate and made her thoughts clear and concise. Now she turned her attention to the second question. To tell the truth it really wasn't a question but more of a statement. She read it over, deciding it too was easy enough. Describe what you know about your chosen subject of study.
Hikari gave another thoughtful look. She knew all the requirements for the field and what Aurors do for a living. She gave a smirk because of how well this little exam was turning out for her. At this pace she would be done in no time at all. Once again she pressed the quill to the parchment, preparing to write once again.
Aurors, by definition, are an elite unit in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Their job is to hunt down, or more appropriately, track down and contain dark wizards. The name Auror is derived from the Latin word aurora, or dawn in English. This term suggests an end to night, or darkness in the case of Aurors. In order to become an Auror applicants must have had a minimum of five N.E.W.T.S. in the areas of Defense Against the Dark Arts, Potions, Transfigurations, Herbology, and Charms. Applicants must also go through many character and aptitude tests. The field itself requires a person to train in advanced magical fighting for at least three years.
Hikari stopped writing, finding enough information inked to the parchment already. She probably could have wrote more, but that was the most important parts she could think to include in her answer. She gave a sigh of relief as she was about to answer the last question. Finally it was almost over. She looked over the question. Basically it was asking her to describe herself, easy enough. For the last time she pressed the quill against the parchment.
My name is Hikari Sorano. My father was a vampire and my mother was a witch. Because of their union together I was born and born a dhampir. My mother died giving birth to me and my father left me in the care of my great aunt Tsukiyo. During my early years I read many books I found in a small library in my great aunt's house. Afterward I entered into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I completed my education there, obtaining high grades in most classes, those included are those needed for Auror training. Currently I wish to continue my education at the International Wizard University where I hope to become an Auror in the future.
Hikari finally finished her exam. She smirked at a job well done and gave a sigh as she got up from her seat when the end of the test was signaled. She handed in her paper to the professor, giving a short nod in respect. As quietly as she had entered the room, she left in the same manner that smirk still on her face.
