Becki was in her office sorting things out. She had changed a few things around, her desk was in front of the window and her office was more wooden. She had a few talismans scattered about and her bookshelf was full of books on Ancient Runes and different aspects of Astronomy. She placed a photograph of her sister on her desk. She gazed at it for a minute, watching the figure wave at her. That was a few weeks before Louisa got married to that oaf of a husband of hers. Still she was happy and that made Bexx happy.
She finished off sorting through her things before she lit a fire. She stood at the window looking out of it over the Universitys grounds. She was good with Ancient Runes, but she wasnt entirely sure what being the head of department meant. She had finished off her curriculum anyway so that was one less thing to worry about, the only other thing she was worried about was whether other professors really knew the Runes inside out. Though she was confident that they would have a vast knowlege anyway. Another thing she was worrying about was the students, would they pay attention? If they didnt.. well.. They needed to, Runes isnt easy. Would they prat around? Becki had little patience for people who pratted around in her lessons and people who didnt pay attention. Even so, if they did... Becki being lost in thought and worrying didnt even notice somebody had entered her office.

Ebony walked through the halls of the Quong Po Building. She was anxious for the year to begin and was on a search for one of her Professor's. Ebony was looking forward to finding out if there was going to be a syllabus for the course as well as what the focus of Professor Littler's lectures were going to be.
Finding the second floor she searched the room numbers for the room mentioned on her academic advisor's information form.
When she finally reached the open door she lightly knocked before making her presence known to the Professor who looked lost in thought.
"Professor Littler?" She asked, hoping that she hadn't gotten the wrong room.

Becki turned around at the sound of someones voice. She smiled as she heard what she had said "Yeah, im Professor Littler" she told the girl. "How can i help you?"
She motioned for the girl to come into the room, and picked up a few books she had gotten out a moment ago, replacing them back on the bookshelf she sat down.

Ebony smiled, relieved that she hadn't barged into some other professor's office. It would have been embarrassing to have mixed up offices her first couple of days at school.
"I was just wondering if we were going to be receiving a syllabus in the first lecture, or if I needed to come here and get one. I just didn't want to get into lecture the first day and realize that I was supposed to have done a reading in advance." Hestia twisted her hands nervously.
While she didn't mind talking to people she didn't know, there was something about meeting her professor and not wanting to sound like a completely idiot that made Hestia want to make a good first impression.

Becki smiled at the new girl. She looked through a book before turning to the girl. She smiled again and addressed her "I was thinking about giving the syllabus out in the first lesson... Though it would appear the only people who are going to be there are..." She looked down at the list and gave a small laugh "Me and you" she returned her gaze to her and said "So theres no need to worry."

Ebony smiled, while she knew that she loved ancient runes her friends from back home thought that it was one of her geeky quirks. They didn't seem to understand how interesting runes were, and apparently even in University ancient runes seemed to be a tad bit unpopular. Thinking back to the other courses that were in the IWU's course book she figured that auror training was probably the most popular course.
"Well it seems that even here people aren't that interested in runes. I'm not sure why though considering the way that it plays a role in more than one aspect of their lives." She said laughing lightly.

Becki looked at the girl and smiled. She most certainly seemed interested in Runes and this, Becki considered, for her course was the most important aspect of it. She looked to her bookshelves, before looking back at the girl. "I agree there" she said, "Runes, even if one doesnt know it, they dont have to see them, but they will be there" She thought back to the days in school when she couldnt grasp it then, the meaning or anything. But now, she was the runes professor. Becki laughed at this thought.

"Exactly." Ebony said smiling. She was thankful that her Professor seemed to be interested in what she was going to be teaching. There were a couple of teachers at her other school who either didn't like teaching or just found their own topics boring after years of going through the same lesson plans.
"What made you take an interest in ancient runes?" Hestia asked, curious, "if you don't mind me asking that is."
