The Ex-Auror, Bioq Harker, walked into his new office. He hadn't been here yet because of being busy setting up all the equipment that would be needed for the Auror Trainees in the coming Academic Year.
The office looked out onto one of several grassy quadrangles that were dotted about the University. It was furnished with dark wood, a large oak desk, chairs and a small lounge type area which was around a fireplace.
Bioq waved his wand at the three chests he had brought into the room. They opened and their contents moved around the room to where the Professor wanted them.
There were decorations, pictures, artifacts from Dark Wizards, magical devices. The whole nine yards.
He gave a small smile at that thought. It had made him remember Nine Yards Tommy, an Auror who had been injured in a duel once and from then on he could only fire a spell 9 yards. Anything beyond that length, the spell would not reach.
An irreversible curse like that was not good in a firefight and Tommy now had a desk job in the Auror Department at the Ministry.
The Head of Department shook his head and sat down on the comfy chair behind his desk. Looking around the room he nodded.
"I'm ready. So come on you youngsters. Come and show me that you can live up to my expectations." he laughed

Hikari was walking down the hall, taking her time today to explore the University indoors. Her little pet, a kneazle named Keiji which she had just recently bought from the pet store, was following behind her and looking around curiously. The first part to explore of this place was, of course, the first floor.
Keiji, ever curious as he was, seemed even more curious about his new surroundings. Hikari had never taken him on a walk indoors before, so this was all new to him. He seemed to grow even more curious when he spotted a door.
Hikari watched curiously as Keiji bounded on ahead and to the door, which was partially open. The little cat-like creature snuck into the room, causing the door to creak slightly. She hoped that was an empty room, though her hopes were dashed when she realized it was a professor's office.
Peaking inside, her crimson tinted eyes found Keiji sneaking up on a man, presumably a professor. The young kneazle attempted to pounce playfully onto the man's leg, like he was on a pretend hunt going after one of his siblings.
Hikari found it strange, yet amusing that Keiji would try such an act with a stranger. Usually he didn't like most people, especially the man at the pet store which tried to feed him. There must have been something suspicious about him, since kneazles dislike suspicious people.
Giving a soft sigh, Hikari knocked on the door, to make her presence known and to reclaim her playful pet. She hoped she wasn't disturbing anything and that Keiji wouldn't cause any trouble on the professor.

Bioq smiled as he heard the door creak open.
Years of training and experience had given him an acute sense of hearing. It was with this that he could tell that something small, a pet of some kind, had just crept into his office.
The Ex-Auror liked pets. They were mostly loyal and were a distraction from work at times.
The kneazle, for it was one, pounced at his leg. Bioq's hand shot out and caught it gently in mid air. The young animal was being playful. That meant that it liked him and trusted him. Good, he thought, I don't need animals that don't trust me. Especially when there were plenty of humans to do that with their narrow minds.
He laughed. It was then that he noticed the presence of someone on the other side of the door.
That and an adapted foe glass, something which now just focused on all people and out side his room, somewhat like a magical CCTV, showed the young woman knocking on the heavy oak door.
"Come in," said Bioq, "Looking for you Kneazle I'm guessing?"

((OOC: Hikari's a girl *grins* )) Shortly after hearing the man's voice, Hikari opened the door wider so that she could walk through it. "Yes, he seemed to slip away from me during my rather slow pace down the hall," she said quietly. She observed the man a bit more, he didn't seem bothered by Keiji's playfulness. Crimson tinted eyes gazed around the room, though her peripheral vision still held the man within her sight. He seemed to be one of the Auror professors, at least thats what she thought from the items he contained around the room. He would most likely be the head professor of Auror Training as the other professor was female. Hikari's gaze returned fully to the man. The head professor's name, if she could recall correctly, was professor Harker or something like that. Well she hoped thats what it was since she was about to call him that. "I'm sorry if Keiji disturbed you or anything, professor.. Harker I believe," the last part had been more questioning in case she remembered wrong. Being a Dhampir, or half vampire, may have given one great abilities, though a good memory was obviously not an ability gained as such, but acquired through living, or at least most of the time it was. In the case of Hikari, though, a good memory would have to come from living. "The little one seems to enjoy your presence," she said softly, "I'm Hikari Sorano, one of your Auror Training students." She stepped forward a bit and held out her arms. "Come here little one," she said gently to Keiji, who in turn jumped out of the professor's arms and into hers. He finally settled himself on her shoulder, where he stayed and cuddled into her long, brown hair. Hikari was unsure of what to do next so she waited to see if he would dismiss her from the office.

"One of my students, eh?" he smiled, "I thought as much." Bioq pointed to the Kneazle. "I see he is one of those animals that are irresistably cute." he laughed. "Always a good trait in a pet. It takes peoples eyes off the owner who could very well be a lot more dangerous. He'll be a good asset to you at times so treat the little fellow right." The professor looked at the young woman and a slim smile played across his lips. "Hikari Sorano? Ah yes. You're half vampire aren't you. Another excellent trait that will help you in being an Auror. If you can deal with the training." The last sentence had been said with a slight tinge of malice and laughter in his voice. He wasn't being nasty and he wasn't going to be. But the training was going to be hard. It had to be so that the young Aurors could deal with whatever was thrown at them. "So. I'll see you in the lecture hall for the first lesson, soon." he said. "I hope you'll enjoy it." he laughed again. (Sorry about the confusion. I've modified that post.

Hikari stroked Keiji's fur as the professor spoke about her little one. "Yes, I plan to take good care of him," she said, "not only is he a good asset, but I care for him too. Even so, the qualities of a kneazle are well enough as they rather take a disliking to suspicious people." That had been one of the reasons why she had chosen to get this animal over something else.
As the professor spoke of her heritage, Hikari remain stoic as ever. "That was one of the reason's I applied for Auror Training," she said, "One of my special abilities includes fast healing. Which would indeed come in handy."
At his last sentence, Hikari just merely stared at the man. She believed herself to be strong, at least in a mental and emotional sense. However, it wouldn't be her who judges that in the end, but the man in front of her.
She was no longer hurt by words or affected by mere taunts of any sort. Hikari had, for the most part, reverted to her emotionless state before she went to Hogwarts. Some would wonder if there had been something wrong with her as a child as she would just stare blankly at the world around her.
"I'll be there for that first lesson," She said, "I'm sure I'll enjoy it greatly." At Hikari's last comment, a smirk appeared on her face. She wasn't overconfident or anything, but would simply love the challenge. "So I shall take that as my cue to leave," she said turning to the door, "good day professor."
